1983-1984 Judge Baker Children's Center - Harvard Medical School Affiliate, Boston, MA Undergraduate worker for youth with serious mental illness, Manville School
1985 Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Boston, MA, an academic division of the Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry (now Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), Undergraduate worker for those with serious mental illness, adult in-patient unit
1986 Bachelor of Arts, Boston University, Psychology Major, Magna Cum Laude
1994 Doctor of Psychology Degree in Clinical Psychology, Nova Southeastern University, Ft.Lauderdale, FL, a research based doctoral program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association
1992-1993: 2000 hours of Clinical Psychology internship at The Bradley Center at St. Francis Emory HealthCare, Columbus, Georgia, an American Psychological Association accredited clinical internship. Adult and child, in-patient and out-patient departments
1994 to Current, Licensed Psychologist in the State of North Carolina (NC# 2135)
1983-2005 Employment in private psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric units in medical-surgical hospitals, public mental health centers (in-patient and out-patient), residential youth facility, therapeutic after-school, university based mental health clinic, and group practice.
2002 to Present, Individual Practice, working successfully with children, adolescents, and adults from nearly all walks of life and with many different problems and client goals.
Long-time, current member of the Mecklenburg Psychological Association.
Former long-time member of these organizations: North Carolina Psychological Association, North Carolina Psychoanalytic Society, and the American Academy of Psychotherapists.
2016-2020 completed 360 hours of training in Gestalt Therapy practices at the Appalachian Gestalt Training Institute (AGTI) in Asheville/Black Mountain, North Carolina
